- MSc Management and Business Analytics course introduces students to the world of ‘big data’ and the impact it is having within businesses across the globe
- In the first semester, it will shape students leadership and management skills to become an effective 21st-century manager, gaining an excellent understanding of the core subjects, enabling them to put theory and contemporary thinking into practice
- During the second semester, students will understand the value of business analytics within an organization, its impact on decision-making and the problems faced in interpreting big data. They will face practical challenges and focus on applying descriptive statistics to analyze real-world data. Students will be developing skills within:
- quantitative methods for data analysis
- understand the business analytics process
- acquire the knowledge to identify machine learning models to predict uncertain events in a business environment
- Finally, in the third semester, students choose an experiential project. With the opportunity to use their skills in a real-world setting, they can choose from completing a consultancy experience project, an internship experience project, a business research project or a global experience project
- If students start their Masters in September they can apply for the two-year option where they can add a year’s work placement onto their course and the fees for the second year would be increased to £16,885 from the initial fees of £15,500
