MSc Economics degree has been designed to give you an in-depth understanding of economic concepts, principles, and techniques by focusing on the application of economics to contemporary real-world issues
Students will be encouraged to ‘think like an economist’ through the application of economic ideas and methods drawn from a range of alternative perspectives. By studying economics here, the emphasis is on the application of versatile tools, techniques, and methods of thought which are distinctively associated with professional economists
The normal course duration is of one year but if the student opts for a 2-year course duration then a one-year work placement option would be given to the student
If students start their Masters in September they can apply for the two-year option where they can add a year’s work placement onto their course and the fees for the second year would be increased to £17,865 from the initial fees of £16,400

Bachelors	50.0% Applicant must have three and four-year Bachelors degrees with 55% (2.2) from other recognized universities or, Applicants with Grades of 50% (2.2) from the University of Mumbai, the University of Kolkata and University of Delhi are also accepted or, An undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK undergraduate honors degree (2.2 or above) in one of the following fields: economics, business, management, finance or another social science-related subject (containing quantitative methods at level 1 as a minimum), or a quantitatively-based subject such as science, engineering or maths or, Applicants with grades of 50%+ in Masters degree from recognized universities in India
Exams	IELTS: 6.5 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component PTE: 62 62 (with no less than 51 in any component)
Additional info	To meet the University’s language requirements students will need one of the following: A degree from the following universities: The University of Mumbai The University of Delhi The University of Calcutta The University of Bangalore The University of Pune The University of Chennai/Madras Anna University Osmania University The University of Goa OR; Higher Secondary Certificate (Standard XII) with 70/100 (70%) or 160/200 (80%)
