  • Applicants must hold a four-year bachelor degree or a three-year bachelor degree with a completed Master degree with a GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0
  • A graduate degree or professional degree or equivalent from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or its equivalent from a foreign institution in a field related to the discipline of the program to which the student is applying.
  • Applicants are expected to have a working knowledge of undergraduate calculus, differential equations, linear algebra (or matrix theory), and maturity in the language of advanced calculus required

Additional info
  • GRE Mathematics Test is not necessary but it is recommended
  • Students who find they are not adequately prepared in one or more of the required mathematical subject areas can select appropriate courses from the undergraduate curriculum to make up such deficiencies
  • Such courses, unless specially approved, will not count toward the graduate degree
  • Meeting minimum UCF admission criteria does not guarantee program admission
  • Final admission is based on evaluation of the applicant’s abilities, past academic performance, recommendations, match of the program and faculty expertise to the applicant’s a career/academic goals, and the applicant’s potential for completing the degree
  • Applicants who have earned a degree from a university at which English is the only official language of instruction are exempt from the TOEFL or IELTS requirements
