A bachelor of science in computer science, more importantly, prepares a student for graduate studies in computer science or in other fields that are strongly associated with computer science
Students will develop a firm understanding of the fundamental skills and core theories that will endure the rapid technological change we experience daily
The Program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in computer science and experience in mastering problem-solving skills relevant to the business, scientific and public sectors
The core curriculum provides a strong foundation in computer science. CSC electives are chosen in consultation with the student’s adviser to ensure depth of knowledge in topics of particular interest to the student. CSC courses must be taken for a letter grade

Three years of social studies with an emphasis on history and government (additional acceptable courses include anthropology, economics, geography, philosophy, political science, psychology, and sociology). Three years of college preparatory mathematics, selected from Algebra, geometry, advanced algebra, pre-calculus, trigonometry, and calculus. Three years of laboratory science, selected from biology, chemistry, geology, physical science, astronomy, and physics.
