Computer science majors learn about the theoretical foundations of computer science, current computing environments and programming languages, and systematic methodologies for problem-solving, software design and software implementation
Students can specialize in a particular area such as software engineering, computation theory, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, computer networking, embedded systems, and/or parallel computing
Students gain hands-on knowledge of current systems, languages, tools, and applications to “hit the ground running” in their early career
Graduates will be able to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others in the computing field and with clients seeking their services as computing professionals
Demonstrate the ability to analyze the local and global impact of computing on individuals, organizations, and society

Class 12th	No specific cutoff mentioned Applicants must have passed high school with good grades Required college preparatory course: English - 4 courses, Mathematics - 4 courses (Algebra I and II and Geometry or Trigonometry, or comparable coursework), Science - 3 courses, Social sciences - 2 courses (including 1 course in U.S. history) and Electives - 2 courses (arts, humanities or computer science)

Additional info	English language proficiency requirement may be exempt if applicants have completed their high school/secondary school in English Applicants who have a GPA of 2.5 or higher are encouraged to submit their test scores (SAT/ACT) as it will assist with academic placement at orientation when registering for classes Applicants with a GPA below 2.5 must submit a letter of reference from a teacher or high school guidance counselor
