Wallace State Community College

Founded in 1966, Wallace State Community College was named after George C. Wallace, the former Governor of Alabama. He had helped in expanding the system of community colleges in Alabama. It was initially known as the George C. Wallace State Trade School of Cullman County.

The college campus is situated at Hanceville in Alabama. It has the Bailey Centre, Tom Bevill Health Education Building, Wilson Hall English Building, Harlan G. Allen Math Building, Business Education Building, Library, Herb Black Machining Building, Jack Hopper Forestry Building and Greenhouses, Bobby McCrakin Softball Stadium, CDL Training Lot, Soccer Field, Tom Drake Coliseum, Hinton Mitchem Poultry Diagnostic Lab, James C.
