Based in West Haven, University of New Haven is a private, coeducational university. Established on the Yale Campus in the year 1920, the university witnessed enrolment of 1,899 graduate and 4,936 undergraduate students between 2016 and 2017. Accredited by New England Commission of Higher Education since 1948, the university accepted an invitation to join The New American Colleges and Universities (NAC&U) in June 2015. In the same year, the university announced that its College of Business received accreditation from AACSB, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. In addition, the University of New Haven is also a recipient of the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.
The University of New Haven has five campuses in total, with its main campus located in Connecticut (CT). Spanning over 82 acres, the campus is located in proximity to the city of New Haven. Its other campuses are Orange Campus (CT), Tuscany Campus (Italy), Lyme Campus (CT), and New London Campus (CT). With the Lyme Campus being opened in 2014, the university added a Bachelor of Fine Arts programme to its core curriculum. The Orange Campus also started holding classes in the corresponding year, while the satellite campus in Italy was founded in 2012. The University of New Haven offers different programs and courses in order to foster the cumulative growth of the students. With different areas of study like a business, hospitality, engineering, criminal justice, natural sciences, computer science and cybersecurity, humanities, and many more, students have a plethora of options to explore.
