The Evergreen State College is a public college in Washington. The college provides an innovative undergraduate program where the students can design their own subjects; interdisciplinary programs can also opt. As of 2019, the number of students enrolled in the college was 2,854 out of which 2,576 were undergraduate students and 278 were postgraduate students.

The college has its very own beach (salt-water) that is laid out over 1,000 acres of land. It offers many courses such as Master of Public Administration, Master in Teaching, Master of Environmental Studies, Bachelors of Science and Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Arts. The lush greenery on the campus serves the students as a natural laboratory for research purposes and also inspires creative work. The Evergreen State College also has an Organic Farm which produces perennial crops like apples. The produce of these crops is sold to the farm stand and the Evergreen community. The farm has an enormous composting facility that composts at the college campus. The campus also houses a Demeter’s Garden, Community Garden, Biodiesel facility, and a large farmhouse.

The students are motivated by the curriculum offered by the college. Standards of learning are prepared in the way the world functions. The students are given the freedom to design and choose their own way of studying so that they can impact the ever-changing world in a positive manner.
