Built in 1980, Sunraysia Institute of TAFE is probably the biggest supplier of professional education and training in north-west Victoria. It gives a wide scope of vocational courses to enable students to become industry prepared. Some of the courses offered are in the areas that incorporate irrigation, commercial cookery and hospitality, business, horticulture, conservation and land management, transport and distribution, health and community services building and construction, engineering, automotive and other trades. The institute also specialises in multimedia, visual arts and language and literacy training. SuniTAFE today is an excellent institute with two main campuses situated at Mildura and Swan Hill, a rural campus at Robinvale and a training farm at Cardross, close to Mildura.
