Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania

The Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania is a public institution that was established in 1871. The university is a member of Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education. The University has an average class size of 26.

Personalized attention is given for both, the accomplishment of the students and the academic programs, of which 13 are accredited. Beyond the classroom, the students have access to unique resources, for example, the Center for Land Use and Sustainability, a stock trading room, centers for entrepreneurial leadership and innovation, fashion archives and museum, and the only public elementary lab school in the state. It is situated about an hour south of Harrisburg.

The campus is in the focal point of the East Coast’s significant metropolitan regions, comprising Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and New York, for students to visit and complete internships. The ship is the only state university in Pennsylvania to offer degrees in Civil Engineering (BS), Computer Engineering (BS), Electrical Engineering (BS), Entrepreneurship (BSBA), Mechanical Engineering (BS), and Software Engineering (BS).

It also offers dozens of programs, offering certificates, master’s, post-masters, and doctoral programs in the School of Graduate Studies. The ship offers graduate programs in the areas of Business, Counseling and Social Work, Education, Professional Leadership and Humanities, and Sciences. The Office of Professional, Continuing, and Distance Education also offers a wide variety of courses, workshops, training sessions, continuing education, and credit and non-credit courses. Hersheypark Leadership Development Internship is a 13-week-long Leadership Development Programme. This internship opportunity is ideal for rising college sophomores, youngsters, and seniors searching for improved summer work experience where they can live close by aspiring young professionals and build up their aptitudes in the all-new leadership academy.

Financial aid is usually connected with educational cost assistance, however, government, state, and institutional aid can also be utilized to pay for room and meal plans, and can be utilized for books and individual costs related to their education. Shippensburg offers five types of help — federal and state grants (grants and scholarships are gift aid and do not need to be repaid), federal and alternative loans, (loans must be repaid when the student leaves school) work-study programs (employment), and veterans’ benefits.

Some notable alumni are Rob Davis, former National Football League long-snapper; current Director of Player Development, Chris Flook, former Bermuda Olympic swimmer, 1992 Summer Olympics, and Brent Grimes, former National Football League.
