Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh is a well-established public university in Musselburgh, Scotland. Founded in the year 1875, the institution has been driven by the aim to impart quality education to its students. Earlier, it was established as the Edinburgh School of Cookery by its founders Christian Guthrie Wright and Louisa Stevenson. It is in the year 1999, the institution began to be recognized as Queen Margaret University. Before moving to a new campus in Musselburgh, the university had campuses in Corstorphine, Leith and at the Gateway Theatre. During 2007-2008, it brought together students from its three Edinburgh campuses and moved them to a new campus in Musselburgh.
