Found in 1959, Northwood University (NU) is a private university situated in Midland, Michigan. Previously, it was situated in Alma, Michigan. It was opened by Arthur E. Turner and R. Gary Stauffer. This university began its operations with a hundred students. With time, the university transformed from being an institute to an accredited university. This university also established the DeVos Graduate School of Management and further expanded it. The university also established an Adult Degree Program and later expanded its centres across the world. It also opened international program centres in Malaysia, the People’s Republic of China, Sri Lanka, and Switzerland.
This university also took new initiatives such as creating new programs like aftermarket Studies, entertainment and sports management and fashion merchandising. It also formed a campus partnership in Montreux, Switzerland. This university also has massive alumni. This university offers traditional undergraduate programs and adult degree programs in studies such as Accounting, Applied Management, Automotive Aftermarket Management, Automotive Marketing and Management, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Franchising Management, Health Care Management, Management, Marketing, Management Information Systems, Operations and Supply Chain Management and Sport Management. This university also offers traditional undergraduate programs in fields of study such as Business Analytics (Minor Only), Cybersecurity Management, Economics, Esports Management, Fashion Marketing and Management, Hospital Management, Insurance Risk Management, International Business, Marketing Communications and Strategic Management. The graduate programs such as MBA, Executive MBA, Master of Science in Finance and Master of Science in Organisational Leadership of this university are offered in DeVos Graduate School of Management. This university also offers study abroad programs which comprise Northwood sponsored programs and exchange programs.
