Founded in 1968, Mount Vernon Nazarene University, in Mount Vernon, Ohio is a co-educational liberal arts university with an intentionally Christian foundation and mission. It is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission. Moreover, individual degrees and courses are also approved by the respective authorities. The university is a member of several organizations including Member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, Member of the Council of Independent Colleges, Member of the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities, etc.
The main campus of Mount Vernon Nazarene University is located at 800 Martinsburg Road about two miles south of the Public Square of Mount Vernon, Ohio. The campus consists of 340 acres on the historic Lakeholm Farm. The university offers Bachelors’s degrees in a host of varied subjects including Business, Psychology; Engineering; Music; Nursing, etc, and Associate degrees in Business Administration, Fitness Management, and General Studies. Both traditional and non-traditional students are eligible to study here.

MVNU also has a strong athletic division. Men’s sports include Baseball, Basketball, Bowling, Cross Country, Golf, Lacrosse, Soccer, Tennis, Track and Field, and Volleyball. The Women’s Sports include Basketball, Bowling, Cross Country, Golf, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, Track and Field, and Volleyball. Co-Ed sports include Cheerleading and ESports. Volleyball is a club sport at this university.
MVNU conducts several social welfare programs, homecoming concerts, multiple exhibitions, etc. for the overall development of the students. The basic infrastructure of the institution is noteworthy including strong faculty members, well-equipped labs, a well-stocked library, high-tech classrooms, and auditoriums.
