Middlesex University London

Established in 1878, Middlesex University is a public university that is associated with the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the European University Association, Coalition of Modern Universities, and Universities UK. Earlier, the university was known as the Middlesex Polytechnic University. It gained the status of a university in 1992. The university decided to re-structure its academic school to faculties in 2012.

Apart from London, the university has three other campuses in Dubai, Mauritius, and Malta. The campus in London features the neo-Georgian architectural style. A new learning resource center was built along with a central library that consisted of about thousands of books and provided round the clock access to students. The Ritterman building is a new development on the campus. The faculty of science and technology and faculty of arts and creative industries are located within the premises. Also, the university is home to the United Kingdom’s first Cyber Factory.

The university has spent nearly £200 million to provide world-class facilities in the campus. Middlesex is known for its research and innovation in offering education and has been awarded three Queen’s Anniversary awards in higher education. Apart from this, the university has been awarded two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise for its international reputation. International students pursuing a full-time course guaranteed accommodation by the university for their first year of education. In addition to this, the campus comprises bioscience, biomedical science, nursing, and simulation laboratories. The campus features several sports facilities including a fitness center, outdoor courts, football pitches, and tennis courts.

The academic structure of the university comprises three major faculties, namely the Faculty of Arts & Creative Industries, Faculty of Professional & Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Science & Technology. The university offers programs in other subjects that include media, design, performing arts, law, natural science, engineering, mathematics, information science, statistics, and computer science.
