Established in 1958 in Sylvania, Ohio, Lourdes is a private Catholic and Franciscan institution set up by the Sisters of St. Francis. It provides high-quality education in the field of professional studies. The college was initially founded as an extension campus for the College of St. Teresa, Winona, Minnesota. To educate the sisters of St. Francis in 1958, Lourdes Junior College was founded. Accommodation to the students is provided on the campus in residential buildings. The students can choose from 1 and 2 bedroom-style living spaces.
The apartment has a living room, kitchen with dining area, bedroom, bathroom and shower, air conditioning, and internet access. The library has a collection of 60,000 books and is named after a 13th-century Franciscan scholar. The library also shares its resources electronically. Athletics Lourdes University is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and plays in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) offering 19 men’s and women’s sports. The university also offers multiple scholarships to the deserving candidates in esports, campus ministry, athletics, band, and academics.
