Founded in the year 1930 as Indiana Technical College, Indiana Institute of Technology is a comprehensive, private, not-for-profit, four-year university. It is currently organized and divided into five colleges.
Located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Indiana Tech offers bachelor’s, master’s, associate and doctoral degree programs. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, whereas, the biomedical, electrical, and mechanical engineering degree programs are accredited by ABET i.e. Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. The business programs are accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education. The institution is an official member of the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning.
Indiana Institute offers study programs in areas, such as Business, Communication, Computer Science, Creative Services, Criminal Justice, Engineering, Financial Services, General Studies, Health Care, Human Resources, Human Services, InformationTechnology, Law, Life Sciences, Management & Leadership, Marketing, Psychology, Sports and Recreation. It conducts courses through traditional and online methods.
A wide array of scholarships are available to students at Indiana Tech. The sports section of the university is very strong. On the campus, there are dining spaces, fitness and recreation centers, and intramural sports facilities. There are also provisions for ‘Earn while you Learn’ for students on the campus.
