Being established in the year 1971, Houston Community College, also called Houston Community College system, is actually a community college system that operates community colleges across Houston, Missouri City, Greater Katy and Stafford in Texas. It holds its affiliation under the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The institution has 23 commuter campuses.

The basic departments include-Art & Design; Business; Construction, Industry & Manufacturing; Public Safety, Transportation & Consumer Services; Liberal Arts, Humanities & Education; Health Sciences; Science, Technology, Engineering & Math; Social & Behavioural Sciences.
