Hallmark University was founded as Hallmark Aero-Tech in 1969 and started operations with just eight students. Richard Fessler, the institution’s co-founder, was appointed as its president in 1974. In 1982, it became the first private school in Texas to receive the authority of granting associate degrees. The institute turned into The Hallmark Institutes in the mid-1990s. In 2007, it became Hallmark College. The college became one of the state’s first career colleges to offer bachelor’s degrees in 2008. It received the authority to grant master’s degree programmes in 2012 and was given its current name in 2015. At present, the university holds the accreditation of the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC).
Situated in San Antonio in Texas, Hallmark University has two campuses, namely Aeronautics Campus and Main Campus. Both the campuses feature world-class infrastructure and house support services, simulation labs and classrooms. The Main Campus is home to spacious classrooms, laboratories and students support services. It is situated next to IH-10 between Wurzbach and Huebner. Situated at a short distance from the San Antonio International Airport, the Aeronautics Campus houses laboratories, classrooms and other administrative facilities. The academic structure of Hallmark University consists of the School of Business, School of Nursing, School of Information Technology and College of Aeronautics. It offers numerous bachelor’s, associate and master’s programmes in various fields of education.
The university is a member of many prestigious organisations and institutions like Career Colleges and Schools of Texas, Career College Association, Professional Aviation Maintenance Association, Aviation Technical Education Council and Higher Education Transfer Alliance (HETA).
