Founded by the Society of Jesus in 1942, Fairfield University is a private Jesuit university located in Fairfield, Connecticut. The university is proud to be spreading knowledge for the last 78 years and students can choose from over 43 majors and 19 minor available with the school curriculum. The university ensures students reach their full potential in creativity and intellectual matters while at the university.

The Catholic-affiliated school utilizes a semester-based academic calendar and requires the students to be above average in their high school grades to be considered for admission. They need a GPA of above 3.65. However, students can compensate for a lower GPA by having higher SAT and ACT scores.

Fairfield University has four undergraduate schools and colleges that offer a vast array of courses led by a team of nationally and internationally recognized faculty. The school offers bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, and doctoral degrees through its five schools and colleges: the Charles F. Dolan School of Business, the Fairfield University College of Arts and Sciences, the Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions the Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies, and the School of Engineering.

The university offers 43 majors and 19 minors for undergraduate students, as well as 41 different graduate programs. Among undergraduates, the most popular majors include Accounting, Biology, Communication, English, Finance, Marketing, Nursing, and Psychology.

The university has several academic and spiritual centers on the university premises including the Center for Faith and Public Life, the Center for Catholic Studies, the Center for Ignatian Spirituality, and the Carl and Dorothy Bennett Center for Judaic Studies.
