Enterprise State Community College has been accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. The affordable tuition fee at the college makes higher education much affordable in the region. ESCC has a philosophy of preparing students for high-quality education in line with their respective future plans. Students are conditioned and taught to meet the growing demands of various industry verticals like technology, healthcare, business, education and more.
A wide range of high-quality courses offered at the college equips the students to jumpstart their careers within two years or get a transfer to a four-year programme in other universities and institutions as per their plans. As part of their commitment to improving the quality of education, ESCC focuses on a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) that is designed to improve academic reading comprehension specifically. The Alabama Aviation College is a popular unit of Enterprise State. The two-year Aviation Programme is available at Ozark and Andalusia campuses. One can choose from programmes in avionics technology, aircraft maintenance and others that help gain skills required at automotive, machinery and allied industries.
The college offers a great headstart for the high-schoolers. Dual enrolment programmes offered by ESCC allow the sophomores and juniors to earn both high school and college credit when they take up Aviation Maintenance Technology Programmes. Students who begin with their courses in their sophomore year can complete the programme when high school ends. Their cost of tuition can be paid by the workforce development grant. Enterprise State College and Foundation provide great opportunities to bright students. Scholarships are awarded based on their academic performance, career interests, technical aptitude, and for participation in athletics, fine arts and leadership activities.
Application for scholarships is competition based. Successful candidates then submit the completed scholarship application form at least a week before the deadline to avoid processing problems. Student Government Association and student membership in the Quality Enhancement Leadership Team and the Disciplinary Committees ensure active student participation in decision making.
