Founded in 1817, Colgate University was established as the Baptist Education Society. The university is situated in Hamilton, New York, over an area of 575 acres of land. Inside the university campus, there are 88 buildings and 2300 trees. Further, the university comprises multiple halls such as Lathrop Hall and Robert H.N. Ho Science Center. It also has numerous museums and galleries such as Clifford Gallery, Linsley Geology Museum and Picker Art Gallery. When it comes to theatres and auditoriums, the university has Brehmer Theater, Memorial Chapel, Golden Auditorium and Love Auditorium.
