The Clarion University of Pennsylvania is a state-funded educational institute in Clarion, Pennsylvania. The educational institute was founded in 1867 and became a university in the 1980s.
The university maintains a regional campus, Clarion University – Venango in Oil City, and a site in Pittsburgh at West Penn School of Nursing. Clarion also offers an extended studies program featuring online courses, locales, and different crossbreed learning circumstances. Clarion University – Venango offers two-year, stand-alone associate degrees in 7 academic disciplines. The campus also offers select baccalaureate degrees and provides students an opportunity to begin any of Clarion University’s over 175 programs.
Clarion University’s School of Education includes the Department of Education and the Department of Special Education. The Honors Program at Clarion University is an academic opportunity for students whose intellectual and creative interests and capacities are past ordinary university offerings. The program offers students the chance to advance their education through exceptionally planned courses and extracurricular involvement. The immersive honors courses permit students to pursue subjects thoroughly and across disciplines. The Honors Program’s special events add to an improved academic and social environment.
Different grants are offered by the university. Merit scholarships are accessible to recognize the academic accomplishment of high school seniors.
