California Polytechnic State University

In 1901, Henry T. sage, the then governor, had signed the California Polytechnic School Bill. It was done after the journalist Myron Angel had run a campaign. As a result, the first polytechnic school in California was established. Initially, it was known as Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. It came under the California State Board of Education in 1924. California Polytechnic State University has the second biggest campus in the country. It covers an area of 9178 acres. The whole area supports the ‘learn by doing’ philosophy of the university. There are agricultural land, the main campus, 2 properties in the County Of Santa Cruz. The Swanton Pacific Ranch is also a part of it. The university is outside Davenport and across an area of 3,200 acres. It majorly helps students from the Department of Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Sciences.
