Founded in the year 1958, Brandman University (BU) is a leading institution of higher education having multiple campuses in the United States. The institution was originally set up as a constituent college of the Chapman University in California’s Orange City. Funded by the Joyce and Saul Brandman Foundation, the college obtained degree-awarding power as an independent institution under the Chapman University in 2009, hence the current name. It has accreditation from the WSCUC Senior College and University Commission. It is a member of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing and the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. The university is also associated with the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and the Council on Social Work Education.
With its main campus in Irvine, Brandman University operates campuses at more than 24 other locations across California and Washington. Each of the campuses features excellent academic, administrative and support facilities to ensure a great learning experience at the university. The Center for Instructional Innovation ensures academic support and technology resources for research, learning and teaching purposes. The students can take introductory courses related to various topics using the online platform named Blackboard. The university collaboration software named Zoom and LiveText is the other academic support facilities available to all. BU has five academic schools that offer over 90 educational programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels as well as several associate degrees.
