Founded in 1836, Alfred University is the second oldest co-educational college in the United States of America. The institution was built upon the ideological foundations of liberty and independence. Located in the foothills of the beautiful Allegheny Mountains, the university gets its name from the village of Alfred, which is part of the state of New York.
