Alfred State College is a public educational institution in Alfred, New York. It is a part of the State University of New York framework. The college, once in the past the Technical College at Alfred, presently grants baccalaureate degrees in 19 areas of study, associate degrees in 50 areas, and certificate degrees. The college offers more than 70 majors in arts, architecture and management, applied technology and engineering technology. Teaching staff are in a 20:1 proportion to students.

The college maintains the School of Arts and Sciences, School of Applied Technology (situated at the Wellsville campus) and School of Architecture, Management and Engineering Technology. Alfred State College has extended to incorporate 13 residence halls, the Orvis Activities Center, a motorsports facility, best-in-class study halls, a developing organic farm, and the campus of Applied Technology situated in Wellsville, NY. The athletic field features an 8-path running track and lets students enjoy sports like football, lacrosse and soccer. The college comprises a central dining hall, 150-bed townhouse complex including a student activities centre, the management and engineering technology building, school of architecture and student leadership centre.

The college is proud of its commitment to recognize remarkable students by offering various grants. In the event that a student meets all requirements for more than one grant, the higher-esteem scholarship will be offered. Enrollment deposits must be paid by the due date so as to keep up any scholarship awards. Pole William Streater is a former American football wide beneficiary. Peter Trowbridge is an American professor and landscape architect.
