Data Science masters teach the theory and skills for managing and analyzing large, complex data sets – sometimes called Big Data
Students learn how to model, store and process these data sets using the latest algorithms and techniques
Graduates gain detailed knowledge and critical understanding of the big data management and visualization techniques needed to analyze modern academic, business and government information sources
Students learn the ability to critically review existing practice and develop original and creative solutions to manage challenging amounts and diversities of digital information for scientific, administrative and competitive commercial applications
The skills learned through the Data Science masters will be applicable to industrial applications, as well as to scientific data exploration
In the third semester (May-August) students undertake a specialist MSc project which is written up as a 15000 word dissertation

Bachelors	No specific cutoff mentioned Applicants must have a good honors degree with a substantial academic component of Computing or IT that includes the study of databases and programming For most of Masters level programs university require a good first degree in a relevant subject, this means an overall score of 55% or above Applicants whose grades are slightly lower than this (52% or above) might get consideration and this will depend on other factors (such as the university that awarded the degree, any relevant work experience, the quality of the references they can provide etc)

Additional info	ELP will be waived for applicants who have completed first degree in English
