MSc in Clinical Applications of Psychology

Students are taught how to design, plan and conduct health-related research and how to evaluate papers, theories, findings and methods used within health psychology
The programme curriculum includes one module during the second semester includes a placement, followed by an individual empirical research project supervised by a member of staff over the summer
Students gain an understanding of the backdrop of current thinking on the nature of mental health, its psychological and neurological causation, and the best evidence-based interventions
The programme is enriched by the close working relationships with the Hull Clinical Psychology Training Programme, and with local health and social care services
International students will be provided with a tuition fee discount of amount £2500 + £1000 (for low and lower middle income countries as defined by the World Bank)

Bachelors	50.0% Applicant must hold a minimum 2:2 Bachelor Honours (or international equivalent) in psychology or a closely allied discipline
Work experience	Required Applicants should also have a minimum of 30 hours of paid or voluntary work experience relevant to the content of the programme
Exams	IELTS: 6 With no less than 5.5 in each component PTE: 54 With no less than 51 in each component
Additional info	Once the program started, the department will administer an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on behalf of the student, if the student, not succeed therefore will not be able to complete the program ELP waiver condition: Applicants who have passed class 12th from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), or National Open School required 70% in English subject, or Applicants who have passed class 12th from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka or Kerala requires 75% in English subject
