  • The MSc Human Resource Management and the Future of Work is an intensive master’s-level specialist program for graduates who have a prior qualification in social sciences and wish to develop their knowledge and skills in the practice, theory, and policy of the world of work
  • The program will appeal to students who want to engage, respond to and be part of the global challenges related to Human Resource Management and the Future of Work
  • Students will gain insight into the nature of Human Resource Management and the complexity of organizations from a variety of disciplines and will be armed with the relevant knowledge to apply theory to practice
  • Students will study six core units (20 credits each) throughout the program. They will start by studying core theories and concepts including employment relations, HRM in the global economy, and the context of work in the 21st Century
  • In term two, students will focus on the future(s)’ and ‘alternatives’ to work and organization engaging in timely debates on what the world of work could look like
  • Finally, in the summer term, the dissertation provides an opportunity for independent research and in-depth investigation into a topic area that can be adapted to reflect students’ interests and career choices

  • An upper second-class honors degree (or equivalent qualification) in an applied social science or a related field such as Economics, Accounting, Management, Business, Policy Studies, Sociology, Development, Anthropology, Cultural Studies, Politics, Psychology, International Studies, Political Economy and Human Geography
    • The majority of the master’s programs require a first-class degree (60% or higher) from a recognized Indian University, with specific grades depending on the institution
  • The university is aware that at many of India's elite higher education colleges it is very rare to be awarded a first-class. For this reason, a number of our departments may be willing to consider candidates from top colleges who have achieved 55% or above

  • Interviews may form part of the selection process
    • If required, interviewees based overseas will normally be interviewed by telephone or Skype
  • The English language requirements can be waived off if:
    • The applicant has 80% in English in India (CISCE and CBSE) Standard XII
  • The University understands that the majority of candidates from India have been taught in English throughout their education
    • Many departments will accept CBSE or CISCE English at 80% or above in lieu of another English test, with an MOI letter confirming that English is the teaching language of the institution
  • Applications from those with non-standard qualifications who can demonstrate knowledge, experience, and skills developed in the workplace, or elsewhere, relevant to the program of study
