MSc Competition Economics and Policy

The MSc Competition Economics and Policy is a research-training course, where students will combine specialist components of theoretical, empirical and policy analysis in the study of industrial organisation
This degree is part of the Academic and Professional Programme – designed for people who want to pursue careers as professional economists within government and industry or move into PhD study
In addition to students conducting their own research, they will also complete taught modules in Industrial Organisation, Economic Theory, and Econometrics
Towards the end of the 12 months, students will be able to write a dissertation
Students are free to choose their own dissertation topic from within the area of competition economics and policy, and they will be supervised by a member of the School of Economics

Bachelors	60.0% Applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree in Economics OR a quantitative degree subject and relevant work experience in a national or international agency in competition or regulation, an economic consultancy, or related economic analysis or policy institutions Applicants must possess a 2:1 or equivalent in their undergrad degree
Exams	IELTS: 6.5 With a minimum of 5.5 in all components PTE: 58 with a minimum 42 in all components
Additional info	Applicants who have passed standard XII for not more than 10 years with 70% in English, from SSC, CBSE or CISCE will be exempted from ELP requirement
