  • The two-year Master of Science in Urban Planning from the University of Arizona prepares students for a meaningful career where they will shape a more resilient future for cities and communities, locally and across the globe.
  • In the Master’s in Urban Planning, students will learn:

  • Selecting areas of concentration allows for greater student engagement with specialized faculty while providing an in-depth exploration of content, methods and applications specific to a desired professional focus.

  • Applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited United States college or university, or equivalent in a non-US institution of higher learning.
  • The undergraduate degree can be in any field of study.
  • A cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 in the last 90 graded quarter credit hours or the last 60 graded semester credit hours is required.
  • Applicants from India must hold:
    • 4 years of accredited bachelor,
    • 3 year accredited bachelor + master;
    • 3 year accredited bachelor + post-grad diploma; or
    • 3-year bachelor by itself provided the degree is at least 120 credits
  • Those applicants who possess a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture or a closely related professional field may apply for advanced standing.
