- Applicants must hold, or expect to hold a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. college or university accredited by a regional accrediting association
- A three-year bachelor’s degree in any subject is not considered sufficient for graduate study at Stanford. The two-year master’s degree following the three-year bachelor’s degree from India is required
- A strong mathematics background, especially in probability, statistics and linear algebra is important in the admission process
- The recommended preparatory courses include advanced undergraduate level courses in linear algebra, statistics/probability and proficiency in programming (java, C++)
