  • In this course students will explore the answers to these questions and many more. They will focus on the rapid changes in global media and communications and their social and cultural consequences within an international context. They will have the opportunity to meet professionals working in the broadcast, advertising and marketing industries who visit us on campus and through organized field trips
  • Throughout the course, students will combine the theoretical and empirical study of the media including issues of media audiences together with the study of developments in information and communication technologies. They will be required to do a dissertation
  • Students will come from a range of backgrounds (predominantly Media, Cultural Studies, Social Sciences) and will gain a critical understanding of the rapid changes in media communications and their social and cultural consequences in an international context. The aim is to equip students with the skills to pursue further advanced academic research or to take up employment within the media, broadcasting or creative industries (e.g. as communications or press officer, e-learning technologist, journalist)

  • Applicants with other qualifications or equivalent professional qualifications with considerable relevant work experience will be considered on an individual basis.
