  • An undergraduate degree in mathematics is required
  • Applicants whose undergraduate degree is strongly related to mathematics, (for example, electrical or mechanical engineering, computer science, secondary education with mathematics, physics, etc.), are also encouraged to apply
  • Applicant must meet the following minimum requirements:
    • Successful completion (at least a "C" or better) or at least on a semester-long undergraduate course in abstract algebra
    • Successful completion (at least a "C" or better) of at least two semester-long undergraduate courses in real analysis
    • an overall undergraduate QPA of at least 2.5 (based on a 4.0 scale)

  • Students who do not hold an undergraduate degree in mathematics or have not completed the equivalent of four years of university studies in mathematics may be granted provisional admission to the program. Depending on their background in mathematics, they will then be required to complete certain undergraduate mathematics courses to be reclassified to full standing
