The SDSU Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree program provides an outstanding educational and pre-professional experience to students interested in any of the wide range of excellent career or graduate school choices available in the mathematical sciences
The program gives students a strong background in core areas of university-level mathematics during the first two years of study, after which four flexible, specialized paths are available
Options for the Professional Core are the Computational Science Concentration, the Financial Engineering Curriculum, the Open Concentration, the Data Science Concentration, and the Mathematics Education Specialization
Students will be able to develop strength in at least one career-focused or graduate school preparatory area of mathematics

Class 12th	50% Applicants should have an above-average academic record at least equivalent to a "B-" average (2.60 out of 4.00) or be in the top 60% of their class with suitable academic preparation Students should also complete the following core courses with a “C” average or above: 4 years of English 3 years of advanced math—Algebra I and higher 3 years of laboratory science 3 years of social science 1 year of fine arts (or AP Fine Arts score of 3 or above) Includes vocal, instrumental and studio arts Basic computer skills (students should have basic keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheet and internet skills) Students who are homeschooled or attend a non-accredited high school must submit an official transcript and ACT or SAT scores for review SAT Math and Reading/Writing subscores must total 950 or higher
Exams	TOEFL: 61 IELTS: 5.5 PTE: 44
