  • applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in Physics or a related subject. Students holding Bachelor of Science degrees in other disciplines may be considered if they have a very strong background (upper-level undergraduate courses) in the following core Physics course areas:

    • Quantum Mechanics
    • Statistical Mechanics
    • Electromagnetic Theory
  • Applicants to the MSc program must have completed 80% of a Bachelor's degree with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) equivalent to SFU 3.5 or higher
ExamsTOEFL: 93
  • Minimum of 20 in each category

IELTS: 7
  • Minimum of 6.5 in each section

Additional info
  • Physics GRE is not an admission requirement but ios strongly recommended
  • Scores above 700 for Experimentalists and above 850 for Theorists are recommended
  • Though not required students can submit GRE general test scores with the application
  • ELP should be waived off if the applicants have completed a degree at an institution where the language of instruction and examination was in English and where English is the primary language
