The educational objectives of the program are to prepare students with the technical knowledge and skills needed to protect and defend computer systems and network
Develop graduates that can plan, implement, and monitor cyber security mechanisms to help ensure the protection of information technology assets
Students will be able to use cybersecurity, information assurance, and cyber/computer forensics software/tools
Students will learn to Analyze and evaluate the cybersecurity needs of an organization and conduct a cybersecurity risk assessment
The degree requires 30 trimester hour credits
The capstone course taken in final trimester, provides students with the opportunity to carry out in-depth research on a specified topic in cybersecurity
