  • Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the United States or it's equivalent in another country
  • In general, applicants must present a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 (B) or its equivalent in their last two undergraduate years and in their major field
  • Applicants are expected to have:
    • Knowledge of computer science equivalent to Computer programming fundamentals, Intermediate programming, Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science, Introduction to Computer Architecture and Organization, Design of Large Programs, Declarative Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, Data Structures and Algorithms II, Software engineering and Computer Operating Systems
    • Knowledge of mathematics essential to computer science or equivalent

  • Although each application is reviewed individually, it is expected that the applicant will have maintained a 3.0 or better average in the last two years (or the last 65 semester credit hours, if on a part-time basis) of study and in his or her major field
    • Grades in technical disciplines, particularly mathematics, computer science, physics, and engineering, are considered especially important, as are language skills; also, recent grades are weighted more heavily than older ones
    • Industrial experience with favorable recommendations will be well received
