The Program offers two options: Thesis Option (Plan I) and Non-thesis (Plan II)
Computer science students not only design, implement, test and maintain individual software applications but also develop and manage larger systems that integrate a wide range of components
Research activity in the department includes active investigations in software engineering, algorithms, database management, networks, parallel and distributed computation, programming languages, robotics, and human-computer interaction

Bachelors	3.0 GPA Applicants must hold the equivalent of a U.S. four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Applicants must have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 overall, 3.0 for the last 60 semester hours in a degree program, or 3.0 for a completed graduate degree program Applicants must also meet the following general requirements: Demonstrated competence in programming Completion of the equivalent of the department's undergraduate core computer science curriculum The demonstration, by an appropriate score on the general test of the Graduate Record Examination, of competence in the discipline of computer science
Exams	TOEFL: 79 IELTS: 6.5 PTE: 59 GRE: 300 It may be waived for a student who graduated with a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale from an institution accredited by the CAC Accreditation Commission of ABET
