  • The Department offers two options to complete a Master of Science degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering, a professional track (non-thesis) or thesis track
  • The professional track requires 30 minimum credits of coursework and passing a comprehensive exam during the final semester of coursework
  • The thesis track requires a minimum of 30 credits, consisting of 24 minimum credits of coursework plus 6 credits of research credits
  • Students conduct research under close supervision from their supervisory committee. Successful defense and publishing of the completed thesis provides a contribution to the student’s interest area and helps satisfy graduation requirements
  • A non-thesis track requires a minimum of 30 credits of coursework and passing a comprehensive exam during their final semester
