  • The Department supports M.S.C.E. concentration areas in Engineering for International Development (EFD), Geotechnical Engineering (GTL), Materials Engineering and Science (MTL), Structures Engineering (STR), Transportation Engineering (TPT), and Water Resources (WRS). Students may select from one of these concentrations or may select no concentration

  • Undergraduate degree from an accreditated institution with a GPA of 3.00 or higher
  • Students without an ABET-accredited undergraduate engineering degree who wish to qualify for the MCE, MEVE, MSCE or MSEVE degree must complete the following prerequisite courses:
    • Basic Math and Science
    • Structural Engineering
    • Geotechnical Engineering
    • Materials Engineering
    • Environmental Engineering
    • Water Resources Engineering
    • Transportation Engineering

  • GRE with preferred Minimum scores of 300 with 145 in verbal and 155 in quantitative and a score of 3 in Analytical Writing

  • A student may qualify for an exemption from taking an English Proficiency Examination for the purpose of Admissions if he/she earned a baccalaureate degree or higher at a foreign institution where English is the language of instruction (for the institution and not just the major) may meet this requirement. However, other related factors (including test scores) will also be considered. The medium of instruction must be documented on the transcript and on an official Certificate of Medium of Instruction from the Institution
  • ELP can be waived off if the applicant scores 153 in GRE verbal
