- Master of Science in Civil Engineering is offered by the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering requires a minimum of 30 semester hours of approved coursework
- Two options are available:- Research Thesis (Plan I) and Paper/Report (Plan II)
- Research Thesis (Plan I):- The thesis option is a research-focused program that includes conducting original research, writing a research thesis and defending the thesis to the student’s graduate supervisory committee
- Paper/Report (Plan II):- The paper/report, or non-thesis, option requires a research paper, policy and practice paper, or equivalent culminating experience, which is graded by the student’s graduate advisor
- Graduates will be able to Specify or design an experiment to meet a need, conduct the experiment, and analyze and explain the resulting data
- Graduates will also be able to Synthesize advanced technical knowledge in a traditional or emerging area of knowledge in a specialized area of civil or environmental engineering
