The Master of Science in Biology is designed to provide students with advanced knowledge of both plant and animal biology, as well as microbiology
Through their advanced study and research experiences, the program aims for graduates:
- To be provided with a broad background in the life sciences at different levels of biological organization (from molecular, cellular, and organismal biology, to populations, communities, and ecosystems)
- To be provided with a comprehensive education in biology that stresses scientific reasoning and problem solving across the spectrum of disciplines within biology
- To be provided with extensive hands-on training in laboratory skills and/or field techniques
- To be provided thorough training in written and oral communication of scientific information
- To be engaged in scientific inquiry and foster life-long learning
Students will gain focused skills and theoretical knowledge helpful for launching their chosen career in biological sciences

Bachelors	3.0 GPA Applicants are expected to have an accredited undergraduate degree in biology from an accredited institution Applicants with other appropriate backgrounds will be considered The following cognate undergraduate courses are required: general chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, and calculus An undergraduate cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 is expected
Exams	TOEFL: 79 IELTS: 6.5 With no sub-score lower than 6.0 GRE: Accepted Scores in the 50th percentile or better on each section of the general examination are required
