  • The Master of Global Management (MGM) degree delivers a graduate-level international business management education
  • It enables students to develop and demonstrate the abilities required to manage across borders and bridge across cultures, providing them with strong international managerial skills and competencies to succeed in business in Canada or around the world
  • Students will have the opportunity to observe and learn from – and about – diverse cultures, including their own, while acquiring the knowledge and understanding needed to work effectively within uncertainty and ambiguity

  • In the MGM program, Students will be given the choice of completing the program through four applied completion options:
    • Global Management Project
    • Internship Research Project
    • Graduate Certificate in Project Management
    • MGM+MBA International Business Dual Degree
  • Students will also develop a broad range of international business skills while learning to work effectively with individuals from other cultures, regions, and ideologies

  • Four year (or comparable) undergraduate degree, preferably in a related field, from a recognized post-secondary institution, with a minimum B average is required
  • Applicants without an undergraduate degree, but more than three years (90 credits) of related post-secondary education, or a completed university degree with an average below a B, should have at least four years of relevant, full time work experience including some management experience
  • Applicants with two - three years (60-90 credits) of related post-secondary education, should have at least six years of relevant full-time work experience, including at least two years in a management role
  • Applicants with less than two years (60 credits) of related post-secondary education should have at least ten years of relevant full-time work experience, including at least five years in a management role

  • Applicants who need to refresh or sharpen their academic writing and/or critical thinking skills may be encouraged or required to complete RRU Continuing Studies' Academic Writing and Critical Thinking course with a 'B' grade, or the Pre-Masters Program (an international pathway)
  • Applicants who need to refresh and/or sharpen their accounting skills may be required to successfully complete one or more accounting courses as a condition of admission
  • An applicant who believes that she/he is fully proficient may apply for an English Language Proficiency exemption.Below are some examples that may be considered for this purpose:
    • Successful completion of three consecutive years of full-time secondary education in Canada or another country where the principal language of instruction is English, plus a minimum grade of B (73%) or better in one of: English 12, English Literature 12, English 12 First Peoples, or the equivalent(s)
    • Successful completion of the last three consecutive years full-time secondary education in English at a recognized international school
    • Grade of B (73%) or better on the provincial examination portion of: BC English 12, English Literature 12, or the equivalent(s)
    • Successful completion of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma including Higher Level English with a final grade of 4 or better or Standard Level English with a final grade of 5 or better
    • Successful completion of the Advanced Placement (AP) English examination (Language and Composition or Literature and Composition) with a grade of 4 or better
