  • Applicants who have a passion for combining engineering and biology to solve complex problems in medicine are welcomed
  • Applicants without undergraduate engineering degrees will be considered

  • Applicants who meet one or more of the following criteria can petition to waive the proof of English proficiency requirement if, prior to matriculation at Stevens, they will have:
    • Earned a Bachelor's degree from a college/university outside the U.S. that uses English as the language of instruction
    • Completed two years of full-time graduate study at a college/university outside the U.S. that uses English as the language of instruction
    • Earned a master's degree from a college/university outside the U.S. that uses English as the language of instruction
  • Meeting one or more of the above criteria makes applicants eligible to petition to waive the proof of English proficiency requirement waived, but it does not guarantee that they will be granted a waiver
  • Even if a waiver is granted, applicants will still be required to complete the Stevens English Communication Proficiency Exam (ECPE) upon arrival to campus
  • Applicants who petition to waive the proof of English proficiency requirement are responsible for providing proof that English is the language of instruction at the college/university they attended through an official transcript
