  • Applicants must have a four-year Bachelor's Degree or a Master's degree with a First Class/Division 1 (65%) or Very Good (8 on a 10-point scale)
  • At the minimum,applicant must hold the academic equivalent of a four-year bachelor’s degree from UBC or similar university with a minimum B+ (76% or 3.30 GPA at UBC) average
  • Applicants with degree in computer science and statistics is preferred, but not mandatory
  • Must have studied:
    • one course in programming
    • one course in probability and/or statistics
    • one course in calculus or one course in linear algebra. Completion of a course in both calculus and linear algebra is recommended
  • Applicants who do not meet the above requirement can also be considered on the recommendation of the Program Director if they have other significant formal training, relevant professional experience, and/or otherwise possess demonstrable knowledge or expertise that would prepare them adequately for successful study in this program
