  • The Master of Business Administration (MBA) Advanced is designed for experienced professionals with ambition and drive who wish to develop their responsible and sustainable leadership skills
  • Students will gain a holistic strategic business point-of-view required to operate effectively in an increasingly competitive and changing global business world
  • The course has been designed to cover three stages:
    • Diagnostics, where you learn to diagnose issues in real organizations with a focus on marketing, employee engagement, talent management, and accounting
    • Exploration, where you explore the latest thinking and practices in organizations and research worldwide while developing skills in innovation and business transformation
    • Integration and Application, where you develop your strategic decision-making skills, undertake a real-world business project and enhance your personal effectiveness as a responsible leader
  • The MBA Advanced offers students the opportunity to specialize further in their area of interest by completing four additional subjects from a specialization of their choice
  • Specialisations are available in Accounting, Business Analytics, Finance, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Project Management, or Supply Chain Management
  • Students learning approach will include real-world case studies, experiential learning including planning and executing an integrated and live business project towards the end of the course, and teamwork, with an emphasis on peer learning

  • Applicants must have a recognized bachelor's degree with an equivalent average mark of 50%, plus a minimum of three years’ relevant full-time professional or managerial experience 
  • Other tertiary qualifications combined with extensive professional work experience will be considered Or, a recognised Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate, together with five years' full-time relevant professional or managerial experience, or part-time equivalent Or, full membership of a qualifying professional body
  • Applicants with other relevant tertiary qualifications and/ or substantial relevant professional of managerial experience will also be considered for entry

  • With a minimum score of 18 in Reading & Writing and 17 in Listening & Speaking

IELTS: 6.5
  • With a minimum score of 6 in each skill

PTE: 62
  • With a minimum score of 54 in each skill

  • Students who successfully completed a postgraduate qualification in Business from another University will be assessed on a case by case basis
  • Due to the current impacts of COVID-19 on in-person testing centers, UOW is accepting Alternative English tests for entry into Autumn 2021 and Trimester 1 2021. The requirements for accepting these tests are:
    • If standard testing is available in the applicant's country, applicants must use one of these tests
    • If the standard tests are not available (or only partially available) in the applicant's country due to COVID-19 restrictions, UOW will accept
      • Online IELTS Indicator or
      • Online TOEFL IBT at Home
    • If neither the IELTS Indicator nor TOEFL at Home is available in the applicant's country, the applicant can use Duolingo. See notes regarding Duolingo the use of Duolingo
