MA in Communication Design: Graphic Design including Professional Placement

This course encourages the exploration and understanding of the methods and processes at work in contemporary visual communication, and will further develop personal practice and approach to graphic design
It focuses on individual research and inquiry and helps students to develop their understanding of the significance of the wider cultural role of the visual designer
The course is taught by practicing designers, researchers in the design and visiting tutors from the industry. Students will visit studios, work on live projects and take part in competitions

Bachelors	60.0% Applicants should have a 2:1 or a good BA(Hons) degree or equivalent qualification in graphic design or a related subject, such as moving image, graphic communication, illustration, 3D design, advertising, photography, packaging, computer-related design, architecture or fine art Applicants with relevant experience, which demonstrates the necessary skills and intellectual achievement needed to undertake the course are also welcomed

Additional info	ELP requirement may be waived for applicants who have passed 12th English with a minimum of 70% Applicants must provide a maximum of 20 images of their work, and if they have not already done so, a 300-word personal statement which should support their application for their chosen course at Kingston University. The personal statement, if required, should be the final page of the portfolio. The preferred format used to present your portfolio is either a single PDF document/PowerPoint presentation file under 50MB or a Flickr / Vimeo link. Please put the link to your portfolio in a Word document and upload it. Your compressed file must be under 50MB. Applicants portfolio should include a: selection of your student work (if relevant) selection of your professional work (if relevant) examples of preparatory creative work (for example, images from your sketchbooks)
