The Department of Biology houses advanced research facilities and instrumentation including the Environmental Quality Analysis Laboratory (EQAL), the Institute for Environmental Change and Society (IECS), the Institute for Microbial Systems and Society (IMSS), a Herbarium, a modern Aquatics Facility, and a field station in the Cypress Hills of southwestern Saskatchewan
Students conduct research in a wide variety of locations across Canada and elsewhere, and have national and international collaborations
