The M.S. in biology opens possibilities in industry, business, law, policy, administration, or research, either as a terminal degree or as preparation for a Ph.D
Two options are available to complete the M.S. degree requirements: a thesis option and a non-thesis option
Students will study subjects such as Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Molecular Biology of Cells, Biology Colloquium, etc.
Students can choose from the following specializations:
- Applied Life Sciences
- Biochemistry
- Cell and Molecular Biology
- Microbiology

Class 12th	No specific cutoff mentioned
Bachelors	3.0 GPA Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Exams	TOEFL: 90 With a minimum section score of 20 IELTS: 6.5 With a minimum section score of 6.5 PTE: 63 With a minimum section score of 53 GRE: 299 299 (quantitative and verbal) 2.5 (analytical writing)
Additional info	During the admission process, Illinois Tech waives TOEFL or IELTS requirements if the applicants: first or native language is English have received a degree from an English-speaking institution and have attended that school for at least two years school’s official medium of instruction is in English, per transcripts
